Privacy policy.

This page explains what couthcannabis.com collects, which is very little, and what happens to it. Plain English throughout. It's a short read because there isn't much to disclose.

The short version

• The only thing we ask for is your email address, and only if you type it into our email list popup.
• We set one cookie, when you confirm you're 21. It expires after 30 days.
• No ad trackers. No analytics scripts.
• We never sell, rent or share your email address.

What this policy covers

Couth Cannabis is an adult-use cannabis dispensary at 1595 El Paseo Rd, Las Cruces, NM 88001. This policy covers couthcannabis.com only. It does not cover our in-store point-of-sale system.

What we collect

Age confirmation. When you confirm you're 21 or older, we set a cookie named cc_age_verified in your browser so the site doesn't ask again for 30 days. It doesn't identify or track you, and it carries nothing beyond that one yes/no confirmation.

Hosting logs. Like nearly every website, this one is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard technical logs (things like IP address and browser type) to run and protect the service. We don't use those logs to identify visitors.

Email list signup. If you enter your email in our list popup, we store your email address, the fact that you agreed to receive emails, the date and time, and a note that it came from this website. That's the entire record. It lives in a private Google Sheet that only our team can open. We use it for one thing: emailing you about deals and new harvests. We don't sell it or share it with anyone for their marketing.

That's the whole list. Nowhere on this site asks for your name, birthdate, address, ID, or payment information, and we don't run analytics or advertising trackers.

Services this site relies on

A few third parties help this site work, and each may process some technical data under its own privacy policy:

• Our hosting provider serves the site and keeps the logs described above.
• Google Fonts supplies our typefaces, so your browser requests them from Google's servers.
• Google Workspace (Apps Script and Sheets) receives and stores your email address if you join our list.
• Google Maps powers the map in our Visit section. It's an embedded Google map, and Google may set its own cookies inside that frame.

We also link out to sites we don't control, including Instagram and Google Maps directions. Once you're there, their privacy policies apply, not this one. In particular, online orders are placed on a separate site run by our point-of-sale provider, which collects the information needed to process your order under its own policy.

You must be 21 or older

This site is for adults 21 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. Since we don't collect personal information from anyone, we'd have a hard time doing it by accident.

Your choices

Joining the email list is optional and opt-in. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also just ask: call us at (575) 523-5918 or tell us at the counter, and we'll remove your email and delete your record. We keep your email while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask to be deleted, we remove it rather than archiving it.

If you close the popup without joining, we remember that for the rest of your browser session so it doesn't come back. If you join, we remember that on your device so it never asks again.

The one cookie we set expires on its own after 30 days, and you can delete it sooner in your browser settings. Block it entirely if you like. The only cost is answering the age question again on your next visit.

Changes to this policy

If this site ever starts collecting something new, say analytics, we'll update this page and move the effective date at the top before it happens.
