A real ID, not a student one
New Mexico sets the age at 21. We check a government-issued ID at the counter, a driver's license, a state ID card, or a passport. A student ID doesn't prove your age under state law, so it won't work here.
Nothing on campus
NMSU takes federal funding, and cannabis is still illegal under federal law. That makes possession a violation everywhere on campus, dorm rooms included, regardless of what New Mexico allows off campus.
Only in the right place
State law limits consumption to private property, and only with the owner's permission. Public places are off limits. So is your car, parked or running.

Bring a real government ID. Nothing else gets you past the door. If you'd rather skip the wait, place your order on our menu site first and pick it up at the counter when you arrive. And if anything on a label doesn't make sense, ask. That's what the counter is there for.
Questions students actually ask.
Can I use my student ID to buy?
No. We need a government-issued ID that shows you're 21 or older, a driver's license, state ID, or passport. A student ID doesn't count, no matter what it says about your age.
Can I bring cannabis back to my dorm?
